Physical Healing – Throughout the Gospels we see how Jesus heals, restores and delivers everyone who come to Him – and some whom He seeks out. Most of the time, a major component of that healing was physical restoration. Jesus is the same today as He was then, and He heals our bodies now as He did then. Every time we meet, there is an opportunity to receive God’s healing for our body, soul and spirit, as God’s Holy Spirit leads us into the work of Jesus as the Father prepared for that day and moment. If you are in […]
Emotional Healing – Very often, we find ourselves reacting to situations in a way that we might later not fully understand. We might snap angrily at someone, or react desfensively in a situation, or feel in danger when there is no apparent cause. Often such disproportionate reactions come from past hurts or events – and Jesus is as eager to bring healing into this as He is to heal a broken bone or a torn muscle. Healing of our emotions is a process of inviting and recognising Jesus’ presence, and there is so much that we can learn about how […]
Our Fellowship Praying together, growing in trust and transparency with each other and delighting in God’s presence together are committed components of who we are and what we do. In this 5 minute talk, Anders shares about why we do this thing called “Community” – and why it’s important for the Kingdom of God. In time, we will share some of our members’ experiences reflections on this page. For now, we invite you to come and see for yourself at one of our Upcoming Events
Reflections on Reconciliation These four talks are formatted as a course and lend themselves itself very well to small group reflection or discussion. Reflection 1: Reconciliation with Ourselves Reflection 2: Reconciliation with God Session 3: Reconciliation with our Neighbour Session 4: Reconciliation between Groups
Upcoming Events We regularly offer a course called “The 26 Healing Miracles of Jesus”. This course is the foundational material of the Order of St Luke the Physician (What is the OSL?). The course is available both online and in person in Gillitts, KZN for persons discerning or deepening their calling to Jesus’ Healing Ministry. If you want to get updates about these meetings as they get plannedyou can Get in Touch and/or like us on Facebook. You can also subscribe to our newsletter.
Our mission is aptly expressed in the line “Revealing Jesus through Healing”; another way of putting it is we are living into Jesus’ prayer to the Father: “Your Kingdom come.” We have joined this Community as a response to the call on our lives to reveal the kingdom of God through continuing the ministry of Jesus. This includes salvation, freedom, and deliverance through His love by the power of the Holy Spirit. WE DO THIS THROUGH THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: Receiving God’s healing in and for ourselves Providing training and practical experience for ourselves and others in the […]
We live under the generous covenant of God in Christ, and in the freedom God gives us. Surrender: The calling of every disciple is a personal surrender to Jesus Christ, to follow Jesus and become like Jesus in thought, word and deed by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God the Father. – Romans 12 Authority of the Bible: We pray with, study, delight in and submit to the Word of God as having authority over our lives and ministry. – 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Generosity: We believe that God has given us what we have, so […]
Biblical Foundations Our work rests on “the Gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures, the gospel concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness by resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for the sake of his name.”(Romans 1:1b-5) There is certainly no shortage of Scriptures, but here is an excerpt of words […]
Relational Healing Underpinning all Christian healing ministry lies our restoration to an open, trusting relationship with our God and Father. This is, above all, what Jesus restored us to through His birth, life, death on the Cross and resurrection on the third day. Now that we are reconciled to God – a reconciliation that is ongoing and, we pray, every deepening, God has entrusted us with the ministry of reconciliation. Reconciliation is a part of healing ministry because forgiveness is a core component of healing. Unresolved conflict always continues to cause harm, across the generations even, but in Jesus Christ God […]
